Drifter from Kosta Boda Artist Collection is infused with simplicity and space, with a copper figure sealed inside the ship by Bertil Vallien. The object in clear glass is cast in a graphite mold at Kosta Glassworks, with a base that allows it to stand stably without a platform.
"I love to work with a theme. Glass offers possibilities that no other material can. It’s like the outpouring from a volcano where the glowing mass is rapidly transformed into ice. The challenge is to capture the look and the light at just the right moment to allow the glass to reveal its secrets.”
